Common Questions
Everything you need to know about thermal drone inspections.
1 How much does a roof inspection cost?
Most residential roof scans start at $395 depending on roof size and complexity. We provide exact quotes based on your property. Commercial buildings are quoted individually.
2 When is the best time for a thermal roof scan?
Night or early morning when temperature differences are strongest. We're FAA authorized for night operations, which gives us the most accurate results for detecting moisture under your roof.
3 Can you really find my lost livestock or pet?
Thermal sensors detect heat signatures rather than visual details. This allows us to spot the 'heat bloom' of a lost animal through thick brush, tall grass, or total darkness where standard search teams might walk right past them. It’s a high-tech way to cover hundreds of acres in a fraction of the time.
4 What areas do you serve?
We primarily serve Fauquier, Culpeper, Rappahannock, Madison, Orange, and Stafford Counties. We also cover Prince William, Loudoun, and Fairfax Counties. Call us for other Northern Virginia locations.
5 How long does an inspection take?
Most residential properties take 30-60 minutes on-site. You'll receive your thermal images and report within 48 hours. Emergency livestock recovery is done in real-time while we're flying.
6 Do you work with insurance companies?
Yes. Our thermal documentation is regularly used for storm damage claims and roof leak investigations. We provide detailed reports with high-resolution imagery your adjuster can use.
